29 Palms Plow

Project Description

HMS, while working for Superior Access Solutions (SAS) installed approximately 13 miles of 48 and 96 count direct bury fiber at the 29 Palms Marine Corps Base.  This fiber was installed in the training area to facilitate the Marine’s training exercises.  HMS installed a trunk line out to an “After Action Review” (AAR) site and from there out to 3 “Pop-ups.”  These pop-ups which are infrastructure access points, allow troops who are training out in the field access to the desired networks as well as real time information back to the AAR.  HMS installed the fiber in a “Direct Burry” method by means of our cable plow.  HMS provided all materials, self-performed all work, and terminated and tested all of the fiber.
