HMS, while working for Superior Access Solutions (SAS) installed approximately 13 miles of 48 and 96-count direct bury fiber at the 29 Palms Marine Corps Base. This fiber was installed in the training area to facilitate the Marine’s training exercises. HMS installed a trunk line out to an “After Action Review” (AAR) site and from there out to 3 “Pop-ups.” These pop-ups which are infrastructure access points, allow troops who are training out in the field access to the desired networks as well as real-time information back to the AAR. HMS installed the fiber in a “Direct Burry” method by means of our cable plow. HMS provided all materials, self-performed all work, and terminated and tested all of the fiber.
