HMS Construction is a veteran-owned, specialized General Engineering and Electrical Contractor. We provide full-service design-build capabilities in Light Rail Systems, Fiber Optic Infrastructure, Utility Power Systems, Military Medical Maintenance and Repair, and Renewable Energy and Battery Storage Systems.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY

I’ve worked with HMS since November 2010 on one of the critical trolley upgrade improvement projects that replaced the entire contact wire on the overhead catenary system (OCS) along the SDTI trolley Blue Line. The $11 Million project has been an overwhelming success for SANDAG and MTS and is the direct result of the quality of work by the contractor, HMS. The project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget, with minimal disruption to revenue service operations and to the public. I can personally attest that HMS is a constructor organization that is proud of its personnel, expertise, and safe record of achievements. Starting from the President, Mike High, to the Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and construction personnel, HMS has demonstrated the capability to complete highly specialized work to the customer’s satisfaction.

I would like to express my appreciation for the outstanding work on the Repair & Replacement of Emergency Generators project in Ft. Bliss, TX. The removal and replacement of the existing emergency generation system was performed without a single glitch that affected the health & safety of the patients and the staff for the duration of the entire project. I look forward to having HMS Construction work for me on future projects.

I have had the pleasure of working with HMS Construction on a consistent basis on various projects since July 2006. During that time, HMS Construction has proven to be a very reliable and knowledgeable construction firm that has executed our work in a diligent, professional & dependable manner. Founded in 1996, HMS Construction, Inc. has evolved into one of the leading electrical construction and engineering firms in the Western United States and Hawaii. Starting in a garage by a military veteran and his spouse, HMS initially focused on traffic signal, street lighting, and medium to high voltage electrical work.

Today, our California corporate office specializes in traffic lights and railway projects across the mainland, while our Hawaii office focuses on renewable energy, battery storage, and solar projects. Our extensive portfolio includes intelligent transportation systems, airport lighting, sports lighting, medium and high voltage infrastructure, and large design-build light rail transit systems.

It Began In 1996
