Project Description
HMS Construction, working as a subcontractor to West Coast General Corporation, is installing all of the traffic signal, street lighting and Rail Signaling improvements on this project. This project entails critical rail right-of-way and pre-emption with existing traffic signaling and Caltrans interface. This highly complex project is critical for the residents of Lemon Grove, and the thousands of pedestrians that utilize the Orange Line Light Rail system in San Diego. HMS is upgrading four Traffic signals; three thousand feet of fiber optic interconnect, decorative lighting, new Rail Signal crossing gates and a new signal house. This project is scheduled to be completed in June 2017.
