Project Description
Located at the heart of San Diego Trolley Central, the 12th & Imperial Transit Station is the central hub for the Blue, Orange and Green Trolley lines. HMS was the Prime involved and coordinated demolition, track replacement, pedestrian detours, storm drainage, electrical upgrades, signaling, signage, platform construction, finish paver system, benches, landscaping, and central signal house integration. With the 3 Trolley lines converging on this station, the station was only closed during non-revenue hours. HMS maintained various phasing of platform construction in order to handle the extreme load of pedestrians for the station as well as sporting events in the adjacent Petco Park.
